Public Art &
Mural Production

Based in France. Available for projects across Europe and internationally.

Urban Art Up is an art direction and project management studio for murals and public art. We define the artistic direction with the client, select and coordinate the artists, prepare the site and oversee production through to completion.

We work with cities and public authorities, cultural institutions, developers and architects, event agencies and festival organisers.

Selecting and coordinating the artists.

We assemble a selection of artists according to the chosen direction, their artistic language, their techniques and their experience. We present the profiles best suited to the project, then support the discussions and the preparation of the artistic proposal through to its approval.

Logistics and safety.

Once the project is approved, we organise the practical conditions of the intervention: schedule, access, equipment, technical needs and safety. This preparation anticipates the constraints of the site and brings together the necessary resources before the artists arrive.

Each intervention is designed for its site, in dialogue with architecture, landscape and the function of the place. Depending on the surface and the desired result, murals are painted with spray paint, acrylic, airbrush or mixed techniques, with an optional anti-UV or anti-graffiti protective varnish.

Complex, multi-artist projects.

During the work, Urban Art Up acts as the link between the artists, the client and the teams on site. We follow the progress of the worksite, coordinate the interventions and manage any adjustments needed until the artwork is complete.

For DIRMED, the State road authority for south-eastern France, Urban Art Up coordinated an artistic programme on road infrastructure, combining art direction, cultural production, worksite logistics and safety. In August 2026, five pillars of the A51 were painted over three night-time interventions and one daytime intervention, in order to respect the operating and safety constraints of the network. Square Up and Ultra Violet apply the same approach to multi-artist urban art festivals.
